The Business Committee.

“The main goal for the Business Committee is to work actively to promote contact between students and businesses”

The business committee’s work is to create opportunities where businesses and organisations can meet HHUS members. Through activities, we want to create natural encounters for both local and national Swedish businesses to serve as a bridge between student life and the future of work. This is done through company presentations, career fairs, case competitions, social events and more.

The business committee also works close to our current partners by constantly striving to maintain the good partnership that follows by working with HHUS.

HHUS main partner is currently EY. The other partners consist of Deloitte, PWC, KPMG, GRIT, Zoegas, Handelsbanken, Akavia, Innovationskontoret, Grant Thornton, Orbi, 1step and Rouge. These companies are those we’re collaborating with the closest and therefore the companies that members come into contact with most often.

  • Head of Business

    Alice Lidström

    HLP, 5th semester

    As head of business, the main task is to coordinate the Business Committee and being a representative of HHUS members towards companies. Head of Business task is to broaden the union’s network and create new collaborations with companies and organisations that will help our members to enter the business world.

  • Vice Head of Business

    Joel Norum

    CEP, 3rd semester

    The vice head of business works as the right hand and deputy to the head of business and is responsible for the operational work in the business committee. The daily work consists of making sure all work within the committee runs smoothly by constantly working towards our stated goals. The vice head has HR-responsibility for the committee and is monitoring every committee member's health making sure the workload balance is sustainable. The vice head also ensures that the committee works sustainably in a social, economical and ecological manner.

  • Sales Coordinator

    Folke Nyberg

    CEP, 3rd semester

    The Sales Coordinator is responsible for everything related to sales towards companies. The everyday mission of the Sales Coordinator is to work actively with promoting HHUS towards companies and possible sponsors. The long-term goal is to increase our number of partners and thereby lay the ground for new agreements with different sponsors.

  • Project Coordinator

    Simandra Maniea

    SMP, 5th semester

    The project coordinator’s overall goal is to plan and implement different events with companies besides HHUS partners, like Umeå Business Week, to increase contact between students and businesses. Some of the project coordinator’s main responsibilities include Business Week, EkonomYran and other business-related projects that the organisation arranges.     The company coordinators are responsible for maintaining the relationship with HHUS business partners and making sure both parties are satisfied with the interaction between students and the business life. The company coordinators plan and schedule events with HHUS partners and make sure that the events satisfy both students and HHUS partners.

  • Consult Coordinator

    Engla Engman

    CEP, 5th semester

    The consult coordinator's main task is to supports and helps HHUS members to match with an association or company by maintaining contact with some of our partners and making sure both parts are satisfied. The consult coordinator plans events to increase the interaction between our students and the business life and has the main responsibility of “Orbi” and their career page.

  • Business Communicator

    Meis De Haan

    IBEP, 3rd semester

    The business communicator promotes the business events such as company visits, and events. My job is to market these events through the Business and HHUS social media. I work with the marketing- and business committee to promote everything going on regarding the business activities.
