The Social Committee.
“The main goal for the Social committee is to ensure that our members time during their studies is enriched by camaraderie, togetherness and a great social era.”
We work with creating social meeting places where members are able to interact and enjoy the life of a student. We do this through various ways; by arranging traditional ”Sittings” and ”Gasques” (which shortly can be explained as dinner parties with a twist!)
This is also done through sports events, musical activities and much, much more! The purpose of the Social Committee and one of the main purposes of HHUS is to create a sense of togetherness amongst the members. We serve as the glue that keeps the members together and enables the establishment of connections. Our strength as a group and our sense of community are what makes us attractive!

Head of Social
Sofia Bergström
SMP, 5th semester
The head of the social committee is tasked with two primary working areas. One involves working alongside the other five committee-heads and the presidium within the HHUS-board. The board is responsible for running the association in a long-term and economically sustainable manner. As head of the social committee one is overall – together with the vice head – responsible for all of the social events that HHUS arranges.

Vice Head of Social
Johanna Son
CEP, 7th semester
The Vice Head works alongside the Head of Social, with a focus on the operative work within the committee. This includes leading the committee to organize different social events and as well as attending meetings of a more operative type. Head and Vice helps out to share as much of workload as we can.

Master of Ceremonies
Julia Bergman
CEP, 1st semester
The Master of Ceremonies organizes all the evening related events, such as “sittings” together with Sittningsmästeriet, which they are responsible for. The workload consists of making budgets, booking restaurants and dealing with the project managing of the project group. This role allows our members to have a social platform to meet and have a good time.

Master of Event
Elin Pipkorn
SMP, 3rd semester
The Master of Events is in charge of planning and running our beloved traditional events such as, pre party marathon, bike party and troubadour nights. But they also look for the things we believe are missing on Campus. With them they have Eventmästeriet, that assists in these tasks.

Master of Sports

The master of sports work to enrich the years of studying by providing activities such as big one-time events, great Umeå traditions and year-around sports and games, all to give the student possibilities of new social connections, more physical activities and to try new things such as Umeå World Cup, Get Game, Åre Skiweek, Korpen and so on. Additionally they are also the team leader for Sportmästeriet.

Master of Spex
Maria Lovric
HLP, 3rd semester
The Master of Spex is responsible for providing our members with amazing entertainment during all social events and coordinating the Spexmästeriet. For example to plan and take care of the the Spex’s during “Sittings”, to comment during sport events and to always be ready with a camera at events. One of the reasons this position exist is to make sure that members of HHUS walk around campus with a smile on their face and the job is to make sure that will be the case!

Social Communicator
August Fast
CEP, 3rd semester
As the communicator for the Social Committee, I promote their events such as sittings, Sport events, Insparken etc. I’m responsible for marketing these events through HHUS various social medias. I’m also an intermediary between the Content Director and the Social Committee, and am involved throughout the marketing process.

Head General
Felicia Linno
HLP, 7th semester
The Head of Generals is responsible for recruiting the rest of the Generals and together with them plan Insparken. During the Inspark one of the biggest tasks is to function as a support and guide for the Faddrar, so that they can create the best possible experience for all of the new Rookies. The role as Head of General is best described as being the project leader for the biggest and most exciting HHUS- event!

Event General

The event general is responsible for planning and organizing the events during the inspark. This role often stands as a contact person for external events together with the Logistics General.
